Thermoplastic Polyurethane(TPU), is an (AB)n type linear polymeric chains in block-structures. A is a polyester or polyether with molecular weight (1000-6000), B is a diol containing 2-12 straight chain carbon atoms. The chemical structure of AB segments is linked by diisocyanate, usually which is MDI. The currently available TPU can be divided mainly in two groups: polyester-based TPU and polyether-based TPU. TPU is white ruleless spherical or cylindrical particles with relative density of 1.10-1.25. The relative density of polyether-based TPU is smaller than that of the polyester-based TPU.
